Jack and the Beanstalk Reading Initiative

A love of books is one of the most valuable things we can give to our children.  To help children remember to read regularly, we are asking parents (adults, grans, etc.,) to sign the reading record each time they hear their child read.   Those children who have five signatures by Friday will have their names put at the top of the beanstalk and be entered into a raffle.  The prize will be choosing a book (to keep!) from a selection of high quality texts.

Star of the Week

In the junior classroom, we celebrate the achievements of children in the class by awarding a child/ children as the star of the week. They are then displayed on the hall of fame in  the classroom. This weeks star of the week if Henry. He is star of the week because he has an excellent attitude towards his work and is resilient when he finds a task challenging. Well done Henry, keep up the hard work.
